Representative honoursMorley’s young County players, James McNichol and Jack Seddon, stole the limelight at the Inter County Under 14 tournament being played at Taunton on Thursday 23rd July.
Playing against Kent, the pair put on 151 runs for the 4th wicket in Yorkshire’s total of 296-6 declared. Seddon scored 135 and McNichol 67 as they set about compiling what the rest of the side christened the “Morley partnership”. Well done to both of you on an excellent achievement. Morley CC are pleased to announce their first representative honour of the season with 12 year old Phoebe Austin being selected for the West Yorkshire Girls u15 side to play on Sunday 17th May at Pickering. Well done Phoebe from everyone at the club. Well done to Second Teamers Jack Seddon and james McNichol who have both successfully progressed through to the final trials for the Yorkshire County u14 squad, due to be held this Sunday (17th). Good luck to you both!
Morley u13 George Robson was in great from with the bat on Tuesday 13th May, scoring a superb 106 whilst playing for Morley High School. A terriffic acheivement George - well done. Second team players James McNichol and Jack Seddon have both passed through the Yorkshire CCC trials and been named in the 2009 Yorkshire u14s A squad. This represents a tremendous achievement by both of these talented youngsters and reflects great credit on both them and the club.
Good luck to you both and have a successful and enjoyable County season. Under 13s player George Robson has been named in the Yorkshire squad at under 13 level. Well done George; it's great to see you involved at that level and everyone at the Club hopes you have a great season.
